Processes of Drywall Install or Repair
  1. Determined what surface you will install drywall on.
  2. Size of drywall you will be using and screws (1/4 inches, 1/2 inches, and 5/8 inches). Screws come in many different sizes, the screw size is determined by the size of the drywall (most common 1 inch, 1 1/4 inches, and 1 5/8 inches).
  3. Take out existing drywall or if it's a new area just clean the area (take out nail, screws and any old drywall into the areas where the new drywall will be installed).
  4. Take your measurements and cut the drywall to fit the area you will be installing the drywall.
  5. Fit in into the space and screw it into the 2/4 inch studs.
  6. Apply the first coat of mud (we use 40 set hot mud for this application).
  7. Apply tape (drywall tape for the corners and mesh tape for the center then apply the 2nd coat of mud).
  8. Sand the 2nd coat of mud and apply 3rd coat.
  9. Sand the 3rd coat and apply the topping coat.
  10. Sand and clean all surfaces, now the drywall is ready to paint.
Texture Match
  1. Determine what the surface is to be textured.
  2. Whether it's orange peel or knock down.
  3. Spray on the texture with a hopper to match existing surface.
